To welcome this youth poetry festival, teachers and students from the School of Communication showed off their talents. From calligraphy performances and song singing to original poetry recitation and creative curation of practical results, teachers and students from the School of Communication incorporated what they saw, heard, felt and thought during their research and reporting in Rongjiang these days into the program. The singing festival also invited teachers and students from Guizhou University to perform with local Rongjiang youth to show their youthful style and convey the true feelings of Rongjiang. Even though the schedule in the past few days was tight and busy, the students tried their best to take time out to get together to rehearse the program and polish the performance effect, just to make this tribute singing festival perfect.
The close connection between the practice team and the people of Rongjiang is not only in the singing party, but also in daily communication. On the morning of June 30, Professor Lv Xinyu of the School of Communication of East China Normal University and his team attended a discussion in Le Village, Zhongcheng Town, and exchanged ideas with the expert group of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences and relevant leaders of Rongjiang County on the development of modern agriculture and rural revitalization in Rongjiang. Professor Lv Xinyu proposed to establish a doctoral assistance project site based in Le Village, so that agricultural scientific research results can be implemented in the fields and spread the grassroots stories of Chinese rural areas to all parts of the world.

At 3 pm, teachers and students from the School of Communication visited the Rongjiang County "New Media Helps Rural Revitalization" Industrial Park to learn how Rongjiang County uses new media to promote rural revitalization through training of rural new media talents and the implementation of the "Ten Thousand People Plan". Ning Qingchen, founder of Yirong Culture, "Cun Chao" Miao girl Lanlan, "Cun Chao" calligrapher Luo Xingjin and Liu Zhengcheng, a staff member of the Rongjiang County New Media Special Team, had in-depth exchanges with teachers and students of the college to discuss how to find a balance between rural revitalization and platform traffic logic. Teachers and students of the college also have a deeper understanding of the Rongjiang model of "turning mobile phones into new agricultural tools, turning data into new agricultural materials, and turning live broadcasts into new agricultural activities."
In addition to several exciting live broadcasts, the teams in the integrated media reporting direction shuttled through the streets and alleys of the grassroots in Rongjiang, collecting interview materials bit by bit. After several days of hard work, the warm and vivid stories of the cun chao gradually took shape and filled in flesh and blood. Chen Yuxuan, an undergraduate student majoring in journalism in the School of Communication, turned her attention to the people holding cameras on the cun chao court and recorded the stories of these "communicators" from all walks of life from all corners of the world.
Under the guidance of teacher Huangfu Boyuan, Zheng Zelin, an undergraduate student of journalism (double degree) in 22, and other students in the thermal imaging integrated media reporting group took a different approach, using "temperature" as an entry point to visualize and visualize the exciting and passionate atmosphere on the cun chao court. "Although there were still raindrops in the air, people's enthusiasm was 'burning' red, and these scenes were captured by our thermal imaging recorder." Zheng Zelin said.
During the interview, the students also received a lot of goodwill from the people of Rongjiang. Cui Yilin, a 2022 undergraduate student majoring in journalism from the business reporting team, originally thought that it would be difficult to obtain information involving business data, and even if she went to the stalls to interview, she would probably return empty-handed, but the enthusiasm of the stall owners in Rongjiang far exceeded her imagination.
"Most of the stalls inside the Cun Chao Stadium are intangible cultural heritage or official derivative brands of the Cun Chao. We originally thought it would be difficult to get information. But what touched us most was that after the Cun Chao Ice Cream stall closed, the staff directly sent us all the online and offline sales, which was more accurate than the data we counted ourselves. The stall owners were also very willing to introduce us to the specific situation of the Cun Chao and local traditional culture." After a day of squatting and interviewing, Cui Yilin condensed the booming economy of the Cun Chao into specific numbers and published articles in the tabloid as a special reporter.
